Our Story

 

Let's Dance Wales is the brainchild of Lissa Williams, whose story started when she was 7 years old and had Ballroom dance lessons with her twin brother in Swansea.  She grew from that day and was a Ballroom and Latin American competitor who travelled the World performing in small local dance halls to the Royal Albert Hall in London, some of the most upmarket hotels in South Africa to Sports Hall in Paris France.

 

From her first classes where she had one or two couples attending the school has grown to numberous classes throughout Swansea and Neath with Monthly Dances and even quarterly Dance Holidays around the UK.  Lissa aims to make learning to dance fun and with her teaching method her classes have everyone smiling in no time.  Lissa understands that not everyone wants to take medals or dance in competitions, she loves seeing people who have never been on the dance floor before, actually get up, at one of the Social dances and have fun!

 

Lets Dance classes are run in courses, approx 6 - 8 weeks.  You will concentrate on one or maybe two dances and at the end of the course you should be able to get up and dance at one of the many functions.  Come make new friends, great exercise, tremendous fun with fabulously joyful music.  Your experience with Lets Dance will take you not only on a new journey of learning but you should have fun and come away with a feeling of great satisfacion.
